Creating your guest list is an important step in planning a successful event. It helps you figure out how many people will attend, how much room you’ll need, how much food and beverage you’ll want to have, and the number of rental items you’ll need for your rental order.
Once you know roughly how many people are coming, you can plan the event space to fit everyone comfortably. You’ll know how many chairs and tables to get, ensuring that everyone will have a good time without feeling crowded.
Estimating Your Event Count
It’s always best to start your event rental order as soon as possible to secure the products you want and your preferred delivery and pickup times. When you first start your rental order, you’ll likely have more of an estimate for your guest count rather than a solid number to start with. That’s totally okay. You can revise your rental order up to (2) business days before the delivery date.
How Much Space You’ll Need
Dinner parties require approximately twenty (20) square feet per person. For example, if you’re expecting 250 guests, you would need a space that is approximately fifty (50) feet wide by one hundred (100) feet long. Obviously, these dimensions will change depending on the size of your tables, if you are going to have a dance floor, etc. A cocktail party typically requires about half the space.
